Taylor Swift...Live...In concert...In Seoul. Hello.

The weekend I first came back, I had the pleasure of hittin up a Taylor Swift concert with Steph, Raquel, Mike and Patrick (two EMT, Paramedic Army guys who live so close to the border that we just say it’s “North Korea”). We had a blast rockin out to good ole country and I laughed at the fact that the majority of the crowd was made up of little girls…and then there was us. Don’t judge. When I was cheerfully sitting on the bus heading to the concert, I ran into a friend who works in a school near me. He asked me, “So what are you up to tonight?” I said somewhat bashfully, “Taylor Swift Concert” at which point he began laughing uncontrollably. “Hey, hey, hey take it easy there Tiger! It’s important to breathe.” He said, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry.” We couldn’t continue the conversation without him laughing, so I was like, “Whatever happened to NOT judging me?” He replied, “Yeah, it’s just that when I was in Manila a couple weeks ago with a buddy, we were flipping thru T.V. channels and she came on. He said, ‘Who the hell would wanna go to her concert?’ So now I’ve actually met someone who would”. Ouch! Haha. After the concert, we went to Hongdae (the spot to party for all foreigners and young Korean University students), while I sang every lyric of Taylor Swift I could remember to try and keep the concert feelin alive. We lit up the dancefloor! Good times.
